Tuesday, June 14th – Flag Day – U.S. Army Birthday - 125th Anniversary of the start of the Iron Riders 1,900-mile ride to St. Louis

  • 5:40am  Iron Riders Kickoff of reenactment ride at Fort Missoula

  • Riders leaving on 1,900 mile ride to St. Louis, MO.     

  • Cycle 246 miles along the approximate route of the 25th Infantry Bicycle Corps route from Fort Missoula, Montana to Three Forks, Montana. A 3-day, 80+ miles/day, fully supported, hotel based event in the Rocky Mountain Northwest. Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers watersheds.

  • 10:00am 125th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony at Ft. Missoula Heritage Hall also featuring Flag Day and U.S. Army Birthday

Missouri State Parks 
Schedule


Missouri State Parks will be hosting a series of events in July at several locations along the historic route, including:


• Big Lake State Park, Sunday, July 17

• General John J. Pershing Boyhood Home State Historic Site, Tuesday, July 19

• Monroe City, Thursday, July 21

• Missouri History Museum, Forest Park, Sunday July 24


Each event will provide educational exhibits that highlight individual members of the Bicycle Corps, document their experiences along the route, and display the Buffalo Soldiers uniform and a replica of the bicycles they rode. Live music, food, and family-friendly activities will also be included, and commemorative souvenirs will be available as giveaways and for purchase.
